Yesterday 7:15pm at the Telki Festival the popular hungarian rock group Ismerős Arcok (Aquainted Faces) performed for the joy of the audience. Though we've planned to go to the Törökbálint Albert Wass evening scheduled by today, upon my wife's proposal we decided to participate the Telki concert too. This way we attended it with Katie. Thanks Godness, we were not the only representatives of the doyen generation. From two to seventy-two every age cluster gave appearance at the concert.
We heard the name of the ensemble first time ever in our life at the end of February. Now it's been great to meet them at a live concert.
Instead of giving a verbal appreciation, let themselves play here. It's our pleasure to offer the excellent photo report made by Szaki65 to the visitor's attention at the same site. Well, the author of these lines -an amateur photographer- could shot such images at this event.
We would kindly draw the foreign visitor's attention to the wonderful song "Fellegajto nyitogato" - a real hungarian special!
Some songs of the concert we loved (labelled with youtube recordings)
I had to realize, I did lie.
I had to realize, I did lie.
I must have already appreciated listening to the music of Ismerős Arcok. Springtime in the last year we attended our friends, Babis' in Pilismarót. Taking an excursion around, once we got to the shore of the Danube too. It was rainy weather with mud. Some music rehearsal sounds flew over the river from Zebegény suddenly. The silent countryside was covered by a fantastic, clear-sounding rockmusic. The verses were well understandable at our shore too. They were crystal clean songs, full with Hungarian-heart and feeling. I could hear even similar music, have such a feeling before neither. The rehearsal was stuffed with pauses and continuation time by time, there was some surreal in the scene. Like this all would have happened as part of a fairy tale, not at all in Hungary of year 2008. While the music is on the air, we, at the muddy shore of Danube are in the country of Ilona Babba ...
Taking such distant look at this experience, I am almost sure, they were on the rehearsal stage. The band Ismerős Arcok.
The first meeting them happened to us this way.
/Note: Ilona Babba (Tündér Ilona) is a gorgous good-elf, queen of the elves, an outstanding popular figure of Hungarian folk-fairy tales/
